Man dupes friend of Rs6.8 lakh in car sale scam

Nagpur: A man was booked by Juni Kamptee police for allegedly cheating his friend of Rs6.8 lakh in a fraudulent car sale.
The complainant, Sanket Sanjay Yadav, a resident of Yadav Nagar, New Kamptee, intended to sell his old Scorpio SUV to buy a new vehicle. He entrusted the task of selling the car to his acquaintance, Syed Sajid Ali, a resident of Bada Tajbagh, Sakkardara.
However, instead of handing over the sale proceeds, the accused allegedly sold the vehicle and kept the money for himself. Despite repeated reminders, Ali failed to pay Yadav and gave misleading responses, leading the victim to file a complaint. Based on the complaint, Juni Kamptee police registered a case of cheating.
